History of 3rd Matara Rahula Scout Troop
The golden history of Rahula college was enlightened by starting a college scout troop in 1928. It’s first unforgettable sep and successful start has been written as the enrollment of 21 scouts and registered as3rd matara Rahula Scout troop, on 21st of September 1951 During the time of the principal Mr. D.J.Kumarage and under the guidance of scout master Mr. S.H.A.Senanayaka, Rahula Scout troop developed gradually. In 1953 Rahula Scouts fortunated enough to become the first Royal queen Scout in Matara distric.District Commissioner of Yolkeshare in england, Mr.C.F.Hales visited Our school in 1955. He inspected our Rahula Scout Troop also, it was a great chance to us.

The month of June in 1952 the cub Scout Troop was stated and it increased the dignity of our school.

in 1957 the Scout Master, Matara Assistant district commissioner the Scout master ,Mr. S.H.A.Senanayaka participated for the world Scout moment which was held to commorated the 50 the anniversary of it In 1962 Mr. Nanda Pandithsekara become the adviser of our scout moment.

He participated for the 50th anniversary of Sri Lanka Scout movement with 22 Rahula Scouts in 1962 Rahula scout troop organized an exhibition on Scout movement and a special magazine called “Raahula Baladakshaya” was also published. The Job week in 1963, Rahula Scout become the highest miney collector in the country and awarded the Sri Andrew Kolddicot Shield

After the great service of the Scout master, assistant district commissioner Mr.S.H.A.Senanayaka, Mr. Nanda Pandithsekara took the responsibility of handing the Rahula Scout troop
